Процессор «Байкал-М» — наконец-то официально!

Сегодня — день, которого я с нетерпением ждал почти пять лет: на форуме «Микроэлектроника» в Алуште компания «Байкал Электроникс» представила свой новый процессор «Байкал-М».

I’m sorry but what? You don’t consider theft or fraud a crime? Give me a break. Fraud is a serious crime.

I’m in Canada, and fraud gets you minimum 2 years in prison or 14 for how serious the fraud case is.

I guess Russia should let all oligarchies steal from everyone (budget funds or from people themselves) only because it hurts the businesses that want to steal more.

No, those jobs are not beneficial for Russia and those businessmen should rot in a jail cell.

Titov is a moron. He wants businesses free reign to be able to steal and commit fraud with no punishment. But in real countries with real development, they have such laws like in Russia to put fraudsters behind bars.

China executes people who commit fraud yet their business investment climate is increasing. Why? Because they do something Russia doesn’t — uphold the law. Russian authorities showed they are spineless by allowing mob mentality to rule in the sense of Ustinov and other cases where protestors decided outcome of a criminal case. Something you DO NOT DO as a law biding country.

Maybe you do not understand because you live in a country that only recently allowed private enterprises. But in the 90's, businesses had free reign, like what Titov wants. And it turned out to be total crap. Big businesses stealing from one another, eating up small businesses and not allowing competition. Bribery everywhere. But to you, that is a minor crime right?

And Russians wonder why the rest of the world laughs at them. Because in real countries where laws are actually enforced and businesses are thriving, have laws that would see this guy (head of T Platforms) be placed in jail for upwards to 14 years.

Edit: I will tell you the reason for Russias rather low investment climate and lack of interest from private entities to invest:

    1) Foreign entities dont want to get involved in Russian development due to sanctions from the west. They are afraid of being sanctioned themselves if they are multinational companies.

    2) Russian government not being clear on their laws or their ability to uphold those laws. Many see Russia as a nation of a lack of law enforcement. And then when they do, they fold under pressure from liberal retards who dont work but protest all day.

    3) Interest rates — Interest rates are far too high thus locals are not interested in taking a loan with a 19% interest rate because they will not see profit margine that high. So its a lose lose situation for them. Blame your central bank as they are too stupid to see beyond their own two feet.

If Titov has his way, your country will be ran by about 10 people who own all the businesses and their money would be stored in Switzerland or Cyprus. Instead, now they are forced to bring money home and operate at home. Only people pissed off with this are the business men who are not honest and just want to steal. A person who does honest business shouldn’t worry. Those are the ones who pay taxes, give decent wages and contribute to the overall country.

You don’t quite understand the discussion. No one claims, Titov and anyone here, that businessmen, and especially oligarchs, should avoid punishment. The problem lies in the procedural approach. In skewing the process of justice in the direction of granting greater rights to the security forces. When businessmen are arrested for economic reasons. Kept for years behind bars in cramped cells in poor conditions and not given the opportunity to get out on bail or house arrest. This bias leads to the fact that law enforcement officials use their official position to extort money or otema business. This is what President Putin said.

Who cares if they are in a tight shitty cell? Don’t want to do the time? Don’t do the Crime.

There could be something else regarding this ordeal, but simply put, if he committed a crime, well, that is on him.

Nothing special about his business. And if he goes behind bars, someone else will take over from there anyway. Since he is in jail and they came out with this, seems Baikal electronics is working as intended.

What will happen? He may get released. And then he will bail out of the country and take whatever money he can get and the company may end up under new management or fail altogether. Last I read, they were facing bankruptcy anyway. Prosecutors office anyway always shows leniency towards criminals and released them whenever they want. So if he is actually really innocent, then they would have released him by now.

I still fail to figure out exactly how his business works and where all the parts come from that create jobs. From my understanding, majority of everything is imported anyway. Maybe I am wrong and someone can provide me such info.

Edit: So his company is about 40 people and they are all designers/computer engineers for these chips. So that is indeed something else. Hopefully this mess will get clear and company will continue to operate. But I have a feeling that he will high tail it out of the country as soon as he is released and will just sit somewhere in Germany or UK and the company will end up going bust in Russia. Hopefully I am wrong.
